Anamika Bhati
Anamika Bhati is a seasoned storyteller with over 15 years of rich experience engaging children in educational environments spanning schools, libraries, online platforms, and various learning settings. As a Trinity Guildhall qualified speech and drama trainer, she leverages storytelling in different forms to facilitate holistic and captivating learning experiences. She is recognized for her contributions as a storyteller, author, and podcast producer, with a distinct focus on promoting cultural diversity and inclusion. Growing up in Kenya and now based in Singapore as a mother of two boys, she enriches her narratives with global perspectives, nurturing lateral thinking in young learners.
An active supporter for storytelling, Anamika serves as the Vice-President of the Storytelling Association Singapore (SAS) and a Professional member of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST). Her extensive outreach includes engagements across Singapore, Malaysia, India, Kenya, Hawaii, Scotland, and South Africa.
Her impactful contributions extend beyond performance, evidenced by her involvement in significant projects such as Storytelling Pedagogy in Australia & Asia” book volume published by SPringer (December 2021), “Cannot Forget, Recollection of Singapore Storytellers” by ASN (March 2022) and the book “Royal: Wise and Otherwise” by FEAST. She has curated and presented at events including the Sarawak Children’s Festival, The Art House’s “Monstrous Fun,” the Chennai Storytelling Festival, and the Festival manager (2024) for 398.2 Festival which takes place annually in Singapore.
Her journey as a storyteller embraces diverse audiences, from
conducting workshops for seniors with the NLB, or to enriching educational
programs like KidsREAD. Anamika Bhati embodies the essence of
storytelling as a catalyst for cultural appreciation, creativity, and
educational enrichment, enriching young minds worldwide.
