SAS Milestones

  • 31 July 2014: SAS organised its first Self-Reflecting Retreat for Professional and Voting Associate Members.
  • 2013: The SAS membership category of Voting Associate Membership became operational.
  • 8 March 2012: StoryLab hosted its first open evening for SAS members.

  • 28 February 2012: The 1st StoryPlay experimental story workshop was held.
  • 2012: SAS changed its logo for the first time since its formation in 2006.
  • 2011: The Professional Member category was redeveloped into: a) Professional Members, b) Non-Resident Professional Members.
  • 22 May 2010: Story Weavers was launched with its 1st public performance.
  • 2009: SAS changed the Ordinary Member category into the Professional Member category.

  • 27 January 2007: The 1st SAS Annual General Meeting was held.
  • 13 October 2006: The 1st Social / Story Swap was held, attended by 9 Ordinary Members and 7 Associate Members.

  • 30 August–9 September 2006: SAS helped execute the 1st Singapore International Storytelling Festival.
  • August 2006: SAS develops its first logo.
  • 14 May 2006: SAS formally launched itself with its 1st public performance, ‘Let’s Celebrate’.
  • 20 March 2006: The first SAS website was uploaded.
  • 16 March 2006: SAS signed an agreement with the National Book Development Council Singapore to assist in the planning of the 1st Singapore International Storytelling Festival (SISF) 2006.
  • 27 February 2006: Storytelling Association (Singapore) formally registered  as a society with ROS with two membership categories: Ordinary and Associate.
